I deliberately focus on mastering specific, technically demanding mechanical tasks—such as bleeding hydraulic disc brakes and rebuilding wheel hubs—to build deep mechanical intuition and precision. These repairs require careful sequencing, contamination control, tolerance awareness, and patience, making them ideal exercises in focused skill development. I’m especially drawn to solving the hardest versions of these problems, where systems are misaligned, poorly maintained, or nonstandard, because they demand methodical diagnosis and disciplined execution. This practice has sharpened my ability to work carefully under constraint and refine systems until they perform as intended.
